Description
Hong Kong's first City Hall was built in 1869 and demolished in 1934. A new City Hall was planned after the Second World War. The construction of the building started in 1960 and was completed in 1962. Picture shows the then governor, Sir Robert Black, at the 1960 ceremony to lay the foundation stone of the City Hall.
