DCS and SHYA inspect arrangements for Tai Po Wang Fuk Court residents returning to their units (1)
Description
The Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, and the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Miss Alice Mak, today (April 29) visited Kwong Fuk Community Hall in Tai Po to observe the operation of the registration centre after several days of operation. Pre-registered persons of the households are accompanied by social workers to complete registration at the Community Hall. The Home Affairs Department (HAD) is responsible for registering residents returning to their units, including verifying identity documents to ensure they match pre-registered information, preparing identification badges for residents and their accompanying relatives and friends, distributing hygiene and personal items, and matching residents with supporting staff. Photo shows Mr Cheuk (second left) and Miss Mak (first left) encouraging HAD staff at the registration centre to continue their efforts in fully supporting residents returning to their units. Looking on is the Director of Home Affairs, Ms Priscilla To (third left).
