Freespace, the West Kowloon Cultural District's second major performing arts venue, has opened. Located in the Art Park, Freespace offers a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for arts and cultural events and a new platform for artistic exploration in Hong Kong. The Freespace Jazz Fest, a major new festival featuring global and local artists, will be staged this autumn. Programming in The Box, a large black box theatre, includes co-presentations with the Le French May cultural festival among others. The Livehouse will programme regular live music performances from a wide range of genres. The Room and the Studio are designed for creative collaborations.
