At 7am on 23 September, the first MTR Vibrant Express high speed train, carrying 500 passengers, departed from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station for Shenzhenbei Station, marking the start of the "Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong" high speed rail (Hong Kong section) service.
