Hong Kong hosted the 2018 Zhik Hong Kong 29er World Championship, with New Zealand sailors taking top honours after the final round of racing in Stanley Bay on January 8. Organised by the Hong Kong Sailing Federation and co-organised by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club in conjunction with the International 29er Class Association, the event featured 58 teams from 11 countries and regions. Sailors faced a variety of conditions including strong wind, light wind and fog during the series of qualifying races and finals held from January 3 to 8.
